In an article written by Nacho, he discusses how Texas might change the purchase age of Tobacco from 18 to 21. He talks about how this could potentially be beneficial to kids in school, as the amount of underage tobacco users is rising. I agree with Nacho and what he has to say about this article because while the rate of cigarette smoking has gone down amongst minors, e-cigarette use has skyrocketed. Minors smoking cigarettes has actually gone down from 28% in 1991 to 11% in 2015, but in 2015 e-cigarette use was at about 24% and its rising. By changing the age from 18 to 21, that would help tremendously keep tobacco away from minors. I think that Nacho did a good job in his article, I just wish there was a tiny bit more detail in the statistics behind underage use of tobacco. Overall, I agree with everything he said and it was a good read!
